Top 10 most valuable things I've Learned from Graduate School....

As I reflect on my journey through Graduate School, and as I enter into my final semester and prepare to graduate. It occurred to me that there are many life lessons that I've learned during my 2 year journey at Southern.

1) Anyone can apply, but it takes real dedication to finish
2) Good reliable Graduate Friends(Classmates) are absolutely necessary for more than one reason
3) Organization is key(You don't have to be extremely smart but you do need to be extremely organized)
4) Only the strong survive here ...with pure grit and determination ( No crying or whinning...Just get it done)
5) Going to class is actually helpful
6) You have to stay dedicated because its so easy to say Forget this
7) Even if I fail an assignment I can always rebound (Overcome and learn)
8)  I value my family even more because of the motivation they provide.
9) Constantly Read and stay current on things education related and not
10) You can do anything else....But Just don't QUIT

About me

EDLD- 590

My name is Melanie Holmes-Babin. I am 28 years old. I am the mother of  two beautiful children named Quinton (11) and Maci (9). I am also the wife to my wonderful husband Darrell. Over the years I've learned it's family who will stick by you until the end. Which is why being there for my children and husband is the greatest responsibility I could ever have.  I am a teacher and enjoy reaching out to children on a daily basis, it is absolutely my passion. My hobbies include working out, anything that takes me outside   (hunting, fishing etc) or allows me to interact with my amazingly large family. I was born and raised in Louisiana and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm a country girl to the core whose dreams for herself and her  family are larger than life.
